LAND OF THE VEILED HILLS

After a long, really long time, we had a beautiful winter. Such a winter, when cold air stings your nose and freshly fallen snow crunches under your boots. So my friend and I decided to set off for a sunrise. Our goal was mountain, which is the westernmost peak of the Lusatian Mountains and which was named after the unusually cold water that springs on its northwestern slope. It is Mount Studenec. Its slopes are covered with rubble forests with massive trees and extensive rubble fields. At its top there is a lookout tower, from which, in my opinion, the view is not much due to overgrown trees, so better views are provided by the rubble fields lying below the top to the southeast and southwest. And so, just after sunrise, when I was wading half a meter of snow, I found this beautiful view of Bohemian Switzerland.
