Here in Central Europe, we cannot avoid light pollution anywhere. We can look for places where the sky is still naturally dark, but they do not occur here in the Czech Republic. You would have to go either to the open sea or somewhere in the southern hemisphere. It is a cruel truth that affects the lives of everyone and everything. Light pollution poses a health (reduces the effectiveness of the immune system) and ecological (greatest impact on insect loss) risk, deprives us of looking at the starry sky and costs a lot of money and energy. Unnecessarily. I could go deeper in that matter, but there is no room for that. If you are interested in this issue, visit www.svetelneznecisteni.cz or www.globeatnight.org/light-pollution.php.
