SOLENICE MEANDER OF THE VLTAVA RIVER

We don´t have to travel all the way to the Colorado River to Arizona to see such natural beauty. Between the Kamýk and Orlík dams, the Vltava River creates one of the most amazing bends caused by lateral erosion, nicknamed the Solenice horseshoe. The most beautiful view of the river is located approximately 150 m above the water level from the cliff, which is nicknamed Na Vraném. To admit this, it was one of the hardest photoshoot of the landscape I´ve ever experienced. I was driving to my friend for two and a half hours to get in the car with him, and another hour and a quarter we were going to this place. Just before the finish, the beautiful morning light of the rising sun began to shine on us and after a while it start to fade. But we made it. After five minutes in place, there was nothing left, not even fog. But it was worth it, if only for a brief moment.
